- As in all things there are 'negatives' and WebsAwards have developed a set of regulations which if infringed upon may result in an Award Program, rating and/or a provisional membership being removed. WebsAwards has always sought to be more than fair to all applicants for our ratings but it has become obvious that due to our policy of transparency we have left ourselves open to instances of negative behavior from a minority of persons and rather than break our promise of transparency to our membership it has been decided to provide a few regulations, for such behavior will no longer be accepted. Each regulation infringement will be assessed on an individual basis to determine the time frame of any Award Program or rating removal and whether the removal is to be permanent. Evidence of any infringement will always be provided to Award Program owners.
- • Award Program inactivity - If during a compliancy check, your Award Program appears to be Inactive - no winner's listed or updates within the past three (3) months - it will be marked as offline within our membership listing and an email will be sent to you. If there is no response within two (2) weeks of notification or the email returns as undeliverable the Award Program will be removed from our displayed membership listing.
- • Not notifying change of URL's and/or invalid email addresses - Changes of the main URL of an Award Program page and/or the page where the WebsAwards rating badge is displayed and/or changing your email address without notifying WebsAwards will result in an Award Program being marked as offline within our membership listing such notation remaining in effect for two (2) weeks or until the Award Program owner notifies WebsAwards, this being within the two (2) week time frame. Infraction of this regulation continuing after the two (2) week time frame will result in the Award Program being removed from our displayed membership listing. If we can't find you - we can't list you!
- • Copyright infringement and/or plagiarism - Copyright infringement and/or plagiarism of another Award Program owners protected property, content, format of display or images - any of these being available for public view without the appropriate permissions. (Permission for all copied material, if given, must be displayed onsite.) Infraction of this regulation will result in proof of the infraction being provided to the Award Program owner and the immediate removal of the Award Program listing and the rating held. Any reapplication to WebsAwards in such an instance will be at the discretion of WebsAwards Management.
- • Refusal to accept and/or incorrect display of the WebsAwards Rating Level and/or Provisional Membership Badges - Refusal to accept and/or incorrect display of the WebsAwards rating level and/or provisional members badges and/or incorrect or non linking to WebsAwards will result in an Award Program owner being notified by email that compliance must be met in seven (7) days.
- The Award Program owner will then be contacted a further two (2) times over a two (2) weekly time frame in reference to the rule infraction. If no response is received and/or no compliance is forthcoming within the stated time frame, the relevant Award Program listing will be removed from WebsAwards and the Award Program owner will be notified.
- Award Program owners will then be required to re-apply at a later date meeting our re-application time frame. Repeated infractions will incur an immediate removal from WebsAwards for a minimum period of one (1) year with any re-application to WebsAwards being at the discretion of WebsAwards Management.
